Up to now all we had to enjoy was the 44sec short teaser on the official website of "Rain Fall", but now they finally put up the full trailer for what seems to be a great agent thriller. Max Mannix is the director and it stars Shiina Kippei, Gary Oldman and Hasegawa Kyoko.
The story is based on the first series of 6 novels by American author Barry Eisler. Shiina plays a half-Japanese assassin named John Rain who is forced to protect the daughter (Hasegawa) of one of his victims. She is said to hold the key to information about high-level governmental corruption. Rain is a former member of the U.S. Special Forces. When serving in Vietnam, he got betrayed by a man named William Holtzer (Oldman) who later became the head of the CIA operations in Tokyo. With nowhere to run, Rain depends on a trustworthy former adversary and Keisatsucho (Japanese FBI) agent named Tatsu (Emoto Akira) when he needs guidance.
The movie is planned to come out in cinemas in Japan on April 25th.
