The team of the movie "Tsurikichi Sanpei" appeared at a stage greeting event in Ginza, Tokyo for its opening day. It's the new movie of director Takita Youjirou who recently won an Oscar for his movie "Okuribito" (Departures), but it was actress Kashii Yuu (22) who gained most of the attention during the PR event.
The movie stars actor Suga Kenta (14) who plays a boy with an incredible talent when it comes to fishing. Kashii plays his older sister and when it was her turn to greet the audience on stage, it was actor Watase Tsunehiko (64) who talked for her. "She's in a bad physical condition today and she lost her voice." He explained and began to interpret what she wanted to say. "I'm really sorry for my voice today." Kashii said with tears in her eyes when entrusting her part to Watase.
According to her agency, she just returned from her 2-weeks long stay in France the night before the event. Here her health suddenly became worse and she is said to have had a fever with a temperature of 38.6°C. However, her love for the movie and for the sake of the over 50 reporters who covered the event, Kashii still forced herself to go up on stage that day.
In the end director Takita then said, "Our work has finally began to swim. Please help us with your power to bring it up as one big fish."
