On Wednesday actress Miyazaki Aoi attended the opening ceremony of the underground shopping area "Echika Ikebukuro" at the Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo. It's the 2nd of such Echika areas in Tokyo that have been created as part of the Ekiben Project to make metro stations more convenient and enjoyable.

Currently Miyazaki can also be seen in commercials for the Tokyo Metro and due to her work she rarely gets to see the metro stations during the day. "Usually it's never crowded when I'm in a station, it will be interesting to see people who go there for shopping now." Miyazaki herself is also very interested in going to the implemented shops. "I love sweets and the area here has two shops I want to check out, the shop for sweets and the shop for Japanese confectionary. There are also a lot of shops with stylish clothes that I want to pay a visit."

A short time ago there have been rumors about her husband cheating on her, but Miyazaki appeared with her ring on her left ring finger to once again demonstrate that everything is going fine between the two.

The shopping area at the Ikebukuro Station is going to open this Thursday (26th) and will have 40 different shops divived into the 4 zones, "Relaxing, Food, Fashion and Life-Style".
