About a week ago, it was announced that Kurashina Kana (21) would play the starring role in the new NHK morning dorama called "Welcame" and now she arrived in Minami town, Tokushima for the first time to start filming. "I want to become a Tokushima woman soon." She expressed ambitions towards the project.
Kurashina visited the town hall and Ohamakaigan for the sea turtles. "I've went to the Hiwasa Turtle Museum!" There she was able to get in contact with 8months old turtles. "So cute!" She clearly enjoyed the sight-seeing tour.
In Tokushima city it then was time for the press conference. "There is so much nature here and all the people greeted me with a smile. I can really feel a sense of security here. I'd like to make Tokushima my 2nd hometown."
"Welcame" is about a girl born in Minami town. She was working for a publisher in Tokyo, but she eventually had to leave the company due to some heavy downsizing on their part. Soon she found a new employment at a publisher in her hometown Tokushima. There she comes across various interesting people and experience some personal growth. The filming will start by the end of May.
Kurashina herself is actually from Kumamoto city. She got selected as the heroine for the dorama among 1775 other people who applied for the role.
