A full trailer for live-action adaption of "Ikechan to Boku" with Aoi Yuu who voices that mysterious little blob has finally been released. It's an adaption of Saibara Rieko's metaphorical 2006 picture book about a boy's relationship with his mother.
Except for the little trailer introduction, you won't be able to see her in person throughout the whole movie. However, it still looks great and Aoi Yuu's voice is beautiful all by itself. The film will be released in Japan on June 20, 2009.
Plot: For as long as he can remember, Toshio (Fukazawa Arashi Fukazawa) has had a mysterious blob-like companion named Ikechan (voiced by popular actress Aoi Yuu) watching over him. When Ikechan is happy, she multiples; when she's troubled, she shrinks; and when he becomes friendly with girls she turns red and starts getting angry. Throughout their time together Ikechan sticks up for Toshio when he's bullied, and the two of them fight when she becomes too smothering for his liking. Then one day when Toshio is older and has experienced his first love, Ikechan vanishes from his sight.
