On the 5th was a public practice of the stage play "Onna Nobunaga" with actress Kuroki Meisa playing the role of Onna Nobunaga.
The play is about the famous military commander Oda Nobunaga, but of course he wasn't a woman. They try to show what it would have been like, if he was one and will feature Kuroki in a lot of impressive fight scenes. "It's a lot of fun, but I realized that there really are some differences between men and women." She commented. Kuroki was asked about her father who died about a month ago and she answered, "He said that he would come and see, and I think he will." Some days ago at an award ceremony, she also vowed to work even harder now for her father.
Nobunaga is known for his catchphrase "If the cuckoo does not sing, kill it!" which basically describes his personality, but how would Kuroki word it? "If the cuckoo does not sing, I don't need it!" Her answer is somewhat similar to Nobunaga's while her co-actor Ishida Junichi found some more kind words. "If the cuckoo does not sing, it's still okay."
You can go and watch play from June 5th till 21st in the Aoyama Theater in Tokyo and from the 26th till 28th in the Theater BRAVA! in Osaka.
