On Saturday, Miyazaki Aoi who is playing the leading role in the movie "Shonen Meriken Sakku" attended a stage greeting event on Tokyo's TOEI1 theater to promote the opening of the movie.
She's playing a carefree office lady of a record company who promotes a punk band with the all the members being middle-aged men. Miyazaki had to film the movie next to her NHK dorama "Atsuhime" and says that, "I'm happy that I found the time to do it. Please help us to make this movie a big success." During the filming it immediately clicked between the members of the punk band including actor Sato Kouichi and Kimura Yuuichi.
Yusuke Santamaria who plays the president of the record label even had so much fun that, "I definitely want to do a sequel!". The director interrupted, saying that he has no such plans, but the audience clearly liked the idea of a sequel. "It would a problem, but maybe they could reunite", the director changed his mind.
The movie is opening in over 280 theaters in Japan and distribution firm Toei is said to aim to cross the 2 billion yen already in the starting week.
Some of you guys might not know about this movie yet, that's why I decided to include the trailer in this post. Enjoy~

Looks very promising. Finally Aoi will be able to do a funny role again.
I only hope they'll do a DVD-release with English subtitles.
