Here's the first teaser for "Gokusen: The Movie", which picks up a year after the events of the recent graduation special. Gokusen first aired in 2002 and involves a young teacher named Kumiko Yamaguchi (Nakama Yukie) who's put in charge of the notoriously misbehaved class 3-D. Yamaguchi isn't just any ordinary wide-eyed young teacher, though. She's actually the 4th-generation heir to the powerful Ooeda yakuza family. And while she's kind-hearted and would much rather teach than take over the family business, she has the unfortunate habit of incorporating yakuza slang and mannerisms into her daily work. Until now each new class 3-D has been introduced in a new season 3 years after the previous one. The movie will involve season 3's 3-D and the class that took their place after graduation.
Distributor Toho will be releasing Gokusen: The Movie in theaters sometime in July.
